The aft berth originally had wood slats in metal tracks over two drawers (the brown boxes in the first picture) and open space. While the drawers could be pulled out from the foot of the bunk, it was very difficult to access the storage from the topAdded lids over the open space beneath the aft berth. Steve made wooden lids for the open lockers and will re-attach the slats to the lids so the mattress will still be well ventilated. The middle picture is clean side versus dirty side. Simple Green cleaner is awesome!
