Sunset in the Anchorage

Sun sets behind Moorea.

After leaving her tied up in Marina de Papeete for 14 months, we finally cast off the dock lines and are now anchored in the “Airport Anchorage” in Tahiti. It’s only about a mile from the marina, but at least we’re moving again.

It’s called the Airport Anchorage because it’s just off the runway. We have a front row seat to watch all of the planes.
